Last night Ethan had a few more episodes of delirium. They throw a bunch of sedatives at him and he is still trying to get off the bed. It’s frustrating. They don’t want to keep giving him more but he requires it. He has woolly mammoth strength.
He needs constant supervision. He is somewhat able to life his head off the bed and raise his right leg in the air or use the bed as leverage to boost his butt up.
I will ask him “are you freaking out?” He shakes his head yes. I feel bad for him.
I know he is fighting to go home. If anything, all this movement is good for his muscles that have been laying dormant for the past few weeks.
Sorry for ur pain to see Ethan this way. He’s scared mad had enough. Want to go home to Phineos and happy home..
ReplyDeleteSlowly he will relax and except that he needs to heal. But he doesn’t know all that has happened.
Hope u were 1st to the shower today, unless u skipped it to watch over ur angel...
Patients pray that he has a good day. Still great strides in his healing process. Prayers to you all..💜💜💜💜💜💜
I was first. My alarm clock is the X-ray guy.
ReplyDeleteI hope you and Ethan have a good day today Patti. ❤️🙏🏻
ReplyDeleteHe is a fighter and very determined to get through this. You are both amazing, keep up the good work
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine how Ethan is feeling. His eyes are taped shut. He can't talk because of his airway. It is hard for him to even breathe. His arms are tied down. His mind is cloudy from the drugs. He has been in that bed LONG enough. All he hears is your voice and he is telling you he is very frustrated and angry the only way he can. Remember what I used to tell you when you were angry at me? Maybe you'll have to tell him the same thing and then step back because you know how you felt when I said it. But it was so very true. Love you both so much.
ReplyDeleteThat has to be so hard to watch and know he doesn't understand what's happening to him. Stay strong, Mama, and keep that beautiful humor you have. We are here for you and anything you need!
