Gene, my step dad sent this to me this morning. He had me going for a minute. I could make this show interesting I think. So funny. I wondered if Phineas would have his own action figure too?

Ethan is doing good. They have been able to wean him off the vent a little more to prepare him for extubation next week. Yes!  It won’t be Monday like I had hoped. I will view it as a gift of another day of healing. Secretly I was hoping for Monday but things happen for a reason. We only want to go forward not backward. More tweaking on the medication. There were only 5 people on rounds today. That is the smallest number ever. Could be because it is a Saturday. Or maybe he is getting better????

The ophthalmology team came today and are switching his eye medication. They suspect he is having a topical reaction and he still has abrasions on both sides. Poor kid.

Each day puts us closer to the next step. Today is 3 weeks since Ethan’s engine swap. Wow!

We appreciate the support, calls, texts, dinners etc. I don’t think we could do this without all of you.  Thank you.

We are down to 10 pumps. Progress!

  6. Such good news. Hope it continues. Glad you were able to have dinner with the other Mother. Comparing notes and talking with someone who has been thru this is a great support.

  7. Lol, I wouldn’t miss that show for anything. That’s great on the pumps. I feel bad for him with his eyes, how irritating for him. All this other good news is just wonderful and will take all that we can!

  9. That's exactly how I'm seeing you right now...super mom! This has got to be the hardest parenting gets, and you and Paul are living in it during a global pandemic. I can't imagine the exhaustion, panic and joy you probably feel hourly as he takes steps. ❤️❤️❤️
