Ethan’s surgeon came in. Everything went well. That is my gift for today. We can let this kid get some well deserved rest. Rest his heart. Rest his lungs. The plan is to aggressively treat the pulmonary hypertension with medication. He will have the ECMO to maintain his blood pressure without the treat of dropping it.
This kid just needs to rest. Maybe they can start up his IV nutrition and get him stronger.
Ok, ok we can handle this. This is the safety net. We might be in a better situation next week. I am going to extend my apartment rental today. There is no way we will be out of there by January 2nd. I will stay as long as it takes.
